Terye Knopp, a fourth-generation St. Michaels native and owner of Foxy’s Harbor Grille, has dedicated the past 16 years to building and maintaining what has become one of the Eastern Shore’s premier destinations. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she has devoted an even greater part of her life to her proudest achievement—her daughter, Madison.

 

Since taking over Foxy’s in 2010, Terye has transformed the beloved local dock bar into a must-visit spot for tourists, all while staying true to the loyal community that helped it thrive. What began as a modest outdoor kitchen and casual waterfront hangout has grown into a vibrant 300-seat restaurant known for its award-winning cocktails and Caribbean-inspired cuisine.

 

Madison, who has been part of the Foxy’s team since the age of 14, is now stepping into her newest venture, Lu’s at the Marina. The name honors Terye’s Aunt Lu, a woman who inspired both Terye and Madison with her strength, independence and life-long dedication to the hospitality industry.

 

Lu’s builds on the lively dockside energy of Foxy’s, adding a fresh, modern twist. With a prime waterfront location and a new take on food and drinks, Lu’s at the Marina offers the experience you’ve been looking for—just as long as you don’t mind the occasional high tide!
